Here you will find some character builds that are good starter builds until you are more familiar with the game and its mechanics. Some have been tried and true for decades, others have become strong due to the changes brought with the current Mabons Gamble server.
🪓 All Strength Giant Warrior (ASGW)
Strength: 24 Dexterity: 7 Intelligence: 2 Endurance: 15
Preferred Weapons: Heavy 2-Handed (Clubs and Mauls)
Recommended Skills: Heavy 2-Handed, Healing, Critical Strike
✅ Pros:
- Hit hard with heavy two-handed weapons
- Enough strength to carry heavy weapons and plate armor without encumbrance penalties
- High endurance for tanking hits and protecting allies
- High total health = high regen per round
⚠️ Cons:
- Low dexterity = slower movement, fewer criticals
- Lowest intelligence in the game — minimal mana, few spell options (maybe Sorcery for Teleport or Gather the Fellowship only)
💡 Variations: Consider adding some dexterity for Axes, which scale mostly with strength but benefit slightly from dexterity. Example: 19 / 12 / 2 / 15
🔮 All Intelligence Elf Wizard (AIEW)
Strength: 3 Dexterity: 15 Intelligence: 25 Endurance: 5
Preferred Weapons: Daggers, Throwing Daggers
Recommended Skills: Any magic schools you prefer, Meditation
✅ Pros:
- Exceptionally powerful spellcaster
- Can buff, heal, or curse yourself, allies, or enemies
- Can enchant weapons, armor, and accessories
⚠️ Cons:
- Weak in melee combat, limited armor options
- Low health and endurance = fragile
- Encumbrance easily becomes an issue
💡 Variations: Add a few points to endurance for survivability or dexterity for faster cast speed. Alternatively, consider an all intelligence human wizard. Slightly reduced spell power for slightly increased strength and endurance.

- 3 / 20 / 20 / 5 (20/20 Wiz)
- 6 / 11 / 22 / 9 (Human Wizard)
🛡️ Human Adventurer (Paladin Build)
Strength: 15 Dexterity: 10 Intelligence: 12 Endurance: 11
Preferred Weapons: Long Sword and Shield
Recommended Skills: Light One-Handed, Healing, Critical Strike, Thaumaturgy
✅ Pros:
- Hybrid build — melee with strong magical support
- Able to banish summons, heal, and buff
- Shield skill reduces incoming damage
⚠️ Cons:
- Limited weapon range (2 squares)
- Moderate carry weight and endurance
- Average health, compensated by Thaumaturgy buffs
💡 Variations: Swap to a mace for a more melee-focused build or drop some intelligence to boost strength.
☠️ Orc Adventurer (Necromancer Build)
Strength: 16 Dexterity: 10 Intelligence: 11 Endurance: 11
Preferred Weapons: Mace
Recommended Skills: Light Two-Handed, Healing, Critical Strike, Necromancy
✅ Pros:
- Strong melee with potent Death Magic
- Can summon allies and drain life from enemies
- Meets summoning thresholds easily
⚠️ Cons:
- Short weapon range
- Lower total health than pure warriors
- Slightly weaker carry weight
💡 Variations: This build works well on other races too, particularly Humans and Giants. Can also use a Long Sword and Shield instead.
🥷 All Dexterity Orc Thief (ADOT)
Strength: 10 Dexterity: 21 Intelligence: 6 Endurance: 11
Preferred Weapons: Claws or Short Swords
Recommended Skills: Light One-Handed, Healing, Acrobatics, Critical Strike
✅ Pros:
- High Dexterity boosts speed, Acrobatics, and Crit chance
- Many Claws and Short Swords grant Life Steal for sustain
⚠️ Cons:
- Short weapon range (1–2 squares)
- Low health = vulnerable to magic and hard hits
- Minimal mana and magic utility
💡 Variations: Add a few points to Endurance for survival, or Strength if focusing on Short Swords.

🗡️ All Dexterity Elf Thief (ADET)
Strength: 6 Dexterity: 25 Intelligence: 11 Endurance: 6
Preferred Weapons: Throwing Daggers
Recommended Skills: Light Piercing, Acrobatics, Healing, Critical Strike, Sorcery (for Shift)
✅ Pros:
- Attack from anywhere — range advantage
- Fastest build in the game
- High Dexterity enhances Acrobatics, Critical Strike, and Pickpocket
⚠️ Cons:
- Very low Strength and Endurance = fragile
- Limited armor options due to weight (cloth/leather typically)
💡 Variations: Add Endurance for survivability or Intelligence for better spell use. Examples:
- 6 / 22 / 11 / 9
- 6 / 22 / 14 / 6
⚔️ Human Warrior (Versatile)
Strength: 16 Dexterity: 15 Intelligence: 6 Endurance: 11
Preferred Weapons: Two-Handed Swords
Recommended Skills: Light Two-Handed, Healing, Critical Strike, Acrobatics
✅ Pros:
- Strong enough to wear heavy armor
- Excellent range (3 squares)
- Balanced stats with solid Dexterity
- Can use basic utility magic
⚠️ Cons:
- Low Intelligence if you ignore magic use
- Slightly lower total health for a melee class
💡 Variations: Can be easily replicated with other races for similar performance. Examples:
Orc Warrior – 17 / 15 / 4 / 12
